HAWKE’S BAY AIRPORT BUSINESS PARK

The Hawke’s Bay Airport business park enjoys a prominent, high profile location, with convenient access to the Napier – Auckland, and Napier – Wellington highways. This 10-hectare Greenfield site is located adjacent to the terminal building and presents a unique, exciting and flexible opportunity to tailor a modern solution to accommodate your business needs.

This zone is designed to attract a mix of light industrial and commercial business. It is on land alongside the region’s airport, just 10 minutes to Napier and 20 minutes to Hastings. Global power and automation technology giant ABB opened its 6,500 m2 research and development centre and factory here in 2013.

The business park is being developed by Hawke’s Bay Airport Ltd, which is owned by the New Zealand Government (50%), Napier City Council (26%) and Hastings District Council (24%). The business park is a key project in the airport company’s long-term growth strategy.

AHURIRI MIXED USE ZONE

The Ahuriri mixed use zone is in Napier’s historic seafront suburb and is now one of the largest mixed-use business parks in New Zealand. It houses a variety of different business operations ranging from retail, storage, commerce and offices.

The recent growth in Ahuriri has been dramatic. Over 50 businesses including professional services, retailers, gyms and convenience stores have opened up with the Ahuriri Business Park, employing over 900 people. It also features a new Tech Hub, which houses Xero, Re-Leased and NOW, among others.

Travel time to Ahuriri is very convenient. Napier airport is only about 6 minutes driving, Napier CBD is just around the corner and only 3 kms from the site. Some staff commute daily from Hastings and Havelock North. The expressway between the cities has greatly improved commute times with Hastings CBD only 21 kms away and Havelock North about 28 minutes, driving.

A bus service runs throughout Hawke’s Bay provided by the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council. The services operate between the three centres and from Napier CBD to Ahuriri.
